Call for Posters

The ICT4S international conferences bring together leading researchers, industry actors and policy makers concerned with the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in promoting sustainability. The theme of the 2018 conference is “Thriving Communities”, raising questions such as: How can the transformative power of ICT help put our society on the path to sustainability? How can this potential be exercised at all levels and scales, from individuals to communities, from public sector to all industry sectors, from business goals to social aspirations and environmental objectives? And how can ICT become a vessel for bringing people together to build thriving, resilient communities?

The poster track at ICT4S 2018 will showcase the multidisciplinary nature of sustainability with work presented by a diverse set of contributors. We invite submissions of high-quality extended abstracts for posters. Posters may present late-breaking research or work in progress. Poster abstracts may include empirical studies, pilot studies, working systems, innovative designs, ongoing discussions, visualizations, and critical analyses. Posters present a valuable opportunity to attract interest and give a rapid overview of your research. At the conference, the work described in the extended abstract will be presented as a poster in interactive discussion with the audience. We especially welcome posters that engage with the social, cultural, or political aspects of technology and sustainability

How to Submit

Submissions should include: An extended abstract (max 200 words) that provides an overview of the content that is expected to be presented in the poster. We also encourage authors to describe (with up to 2 additional pages) the interaction potential of the poster and provide a brief explanation of how an engaging participant experience will be achieved so that we can help tailor the poster session towards a truly interactive and memorable experience.
